How to Hackathon is a hackathon designed for beginners. If you've ever wanted to attend a hackathon but weren't sure if you had the skills for it, then this is for you.

The challenges, which you can pick from, will be presented to you by Accenture and InternetNZ. This event will not dictate any winners because the purpose is to cultivate skills so you'll feel confident to attend the next hackathon that you come across.

The hackathon will take place over the 10th and 11th of July but WILL NOT be a continuous 48 hour hackathon.

On the 10th of July the event will commence at 5:30 pm. This night will be to present the challenges, meet other attendees and form teams. If time permitting, even begin on the challenge. We expect to wrap up at around 7:30 pm.

On the 11th of July, the hackathon will commence at 9 am. Plenty of mentors will float around on the day to help you tackle the challenges, and answer all your questions. You'll have the day, until 6 pm to work on the challenge in your teams after which solutions will be presented to everyone.

Lunch and some snacks will be provided on the 11th, as well as some nibbles on the evening of the 10th.

NOTE: This event will require you to bring your own device. All other materials, such as stationary, will be provided.
